Carmen's Trees
Honoring Little Lives Lost
The memorial trees pictured right is located in our reception room. They are dedicated to little lives lost and mothers who donated breastmilk to help other babies. The initial tree was created and named in 2004, after our first bereaved donor's baby, Carmen. The second tree was installed in 2023. In loving memory, each leaf is engraved with a baby's first name and birthdate.
Since then, hundreds of mothers and fathers have found comfort knowing the memorial honors them as parents, their babies' short lives and their invaluable gifts of life-saving donor milk.
